A Deep Dive into America's "Big 3"; Her Sun, Moon and Rising.

July 4th, 1776 is the date the Declaration of Independence was signed, the day it became official that our Founding Fathers and all its people diverged from England, and declared its sovereignty from The Crown. America, a newly formed country, was born on the idea of Freedom, Autonomy, cutting ties from Monarchy and living on her own two feet as she pleased. How fitting, given her Big 3 speak to these tenants, the unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Most astrologers agree this is the day of America's birthday, and with the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, its birthplace. Thanks to record keeping we also have the time at which the signing was completed, hence a "birth time"; all the makings of what we need to cast a birth chart, or natal chart, for America as she once was, with her 13 original states freed from Colonial Rule.

Born in the heart of Cancer season and symbolized by the crab, America's identity is one that is heart-centered and seeks to nurture and take care of their people, ensuring they're fed, clothed and well-cared for. Most Cancers will try to feed you and make sure you're tended to as a guest in their home. However the giving and caring nature is inherent in them and they can easily deplete themselves by constantly giving. Self-care, however that looks for you, Is a MUST, because just as on a plane you're Instructed to place the oxygen mask on yourself first, despite If you're with little children, you MUST be cared for FIRST In order to give freely to others. That Is the gift of Cancer energy.

Signed at 4:50 In the evening, America Is a Sagittarius Rising. This mutable fire has an Insatiable thirst for experiencing adventure and expansion, In all ways.

A tireless energy, Sagittarius Ascendant (rising) signs view the world through "What else can I learn"-- easily bored and never complacent, this energy Is constantly on the go. Adventure, Exploration, Expansion are the lenses through which America sees her reality. From expansion westward, launching men to the moon, and having cutting-edge technology, she certainly lives up to the Saggittarian credo.

The Moon, in a birthchart, symbolizes the emotional drive and intuition, the needs of an individual/a country/a corporation to thrive. At the time that America's declaration was signed, La Luna was transiting through the sign of Aquarius, the FREEDOM-loving sign that rebels with too much authority. Aquarius is an Air sign, rich in intellectual energy and constantly processing and thinking. At it's heart, it has a strong sense, almost a duty, to what's right. Symbolically, it's the Water-bearer who brings water to the village for everyone to drink.

America's Aquarius moon, In order to feel fulfilled, needs freedom, sovereignty, and to serve others on her own terms. It's a non-compliant energy that isn't interested in your rules if it doesn't match their methodology and thoughts. They shake things up and are NOT traditional.

So here we've highlighted America's "Big 3". In all of my natal readings, I insist that in order to lead the most aligned life, one must act in accordance with their true nature, and this is no different. Despite constant ping-ponging from Left to Right in terms of how best to lead the country, the true answer lies in its very nature. Care-taking, nurturing, ever-expanding and autonomy must always remain at the core of who she is and where she goes. These are the unalienable rights that she must uphold to walk in her most aligned version.

And I believe the Universe will always restore us to our truest nature the way we are meant to be.
